I've heard Bluefield's pretty good.
They may be better than South...who knows.
Bluefield is solid, but they will have a little bit of a question mark being their first game after losing their starting QB to a broken collarbone, and their leading rusher also received a concussion in their last game so its unknown what his status may be. Jake Lilly is a stud though that will move from their other RB to QB. I would expect a lot of read option out of the spread with him keeping it.
No offense...but the 23 state team championships.....how many of those were in tennis?
I don't see how anybody would take offense to that. A gold trophy is a gold trophy.
The school acturally has 24 state championships. Eight of those were in tennis (which is a state record).
Of course some schools around here would probably be glad to have more that one state trophy in their trophy cases.
To be honest, I'd much rather have our (PV) 8 state football titles compared to your 8 tennis titles lol
What do they do with the trophies when the schools consolidate? Would they be put up in the new schools made up of the schools who won them or go to the school board or what? Just being curious
I read where the consolidations hit another wall as well with funding.
Eight football titles is awesome, man. Congrats to you on that. PV has certainly had their fair share of great football athletes. Wouldn't wanna take anything away from them on that.
As for the trophies, I've thought about that a few times too. I would imagine they could either make special trophy cases in the new schools. Maybe auction some off. There's probably quite a bit of money that could be made on that. I know many of us would pay a bit to have some that we contributed to winning.
